Baby Won't Sleep without Being Held London
Babies often cry because they are tired, so becoming familiar with your child's pattern and how she likes to be soothed, held and rocked, and at what time in the day, may help you identify quick ways of dealing with the problem the second your baby breaks into a cry.

"My six week old baby will absolutely under no circumstance sleep unless being held. This has been the case for the past three weeks. Every time I put her down into her cot or moses basket she cries and won't sleep. This means I literally hold her allllll day and when I sleep I have to have my arm around her or again she will cry. I don't agree with letting her cry to sleep so would be most grateful for any other suggestions."
Anna says: A baby who cries for attention demands constant soothing, which is tiring for any parent. Learning to understand your baby’s needs will help you distinguish between cries that require urgent attention or those which will peter out naturally.
Babies often cry because they are tired, so becoming familiar with your child’s pattern and how she likes to be soothed, held and rocked, and at what time in the day, may help you identify quick ways of dealing with the problem the second your baby breaks into a cry. Most infants simply enjoy the gentle rocking motion of the parent’s arms. If this is the case consider purchasing a rocking swing or gently vibrating chair that you can place your baby in. The rhythmic motion will soon lull her to sleep and you will be hands-free.
